If you have ever hauled any movie stars or been in a Hercules that ended up in a movie tell us the story. Also, if you've ever participated in anything that made National media attention and can remember when, where, and of course the type model and Buno you were were on let us know. Should make for an interesting thread.

149798 hauled John Walker Lindh out of Afghanistan on Dec 13, 2001.  Anyone remember who crewed that plane, that day.

I believe it may have been 1981 when "A Rumor of War" was filmed at 352 in El Toro. The producers wanted those of us with old solid greens for the film scenes that would depict Marines on there way to 'Nam from Okinawa. I'm lucky to be in a scene for just a split second when the camera pans across all the Marines sitting on the troop seats. I can't remember exactly which bird it was filmed in but what I do remember is that it took all day long and into the evening and we got paid $50 plus we got fed.

I believe Terry O'Neill was the FE on said flight. Someone has to know who else was on it...

Heartbreak Ridge (1986) had several aircraft from VMGR-352 in various scenes. If you watch an "F" is on approach and an "R" (160240 I think) is the aircraft that taxis up... My son is the "Baby" Clint is holding in the trailer scene, he is 25 now.....good grief!

I may be mistaken, but I believe that Randy Travis rode on one of '152's birds in '88 or '89 visiting the Rock.

You have to get ahold of "Action Joe" Lilley, now Capt Lilley.  He was part of a Jag episode at El Toro in the Mid 90's.  After all thats how he got the nic name.

Henry Fonda flew with 152 in 1966/1967--don't recall the Bureau Numbers. 1940's actress and comedian, Martha Raye flew with the squadron--she had a USO troupe that was here and there.

The Martha Raye flight is mentioned in the Command Chrono's, I remember reading that, also 247 engine fire (NOV.11, '67, Pilot was F.T.O'Connor) than req. new outer wing replacement in Japan.

We flew Major Dad (Gerald McRaney) and Clint and Lisa Hartman Black around Somalia around 1992. Of course, we never took photos, where were digital cameras back then?
