On January 9, 2002 "Raider 04" from VMGR-352, crashed into a mountainside in Pakistankilling all seven crewmembers. One of the Marines killed was Sergeant
Jeannette L. Winters. She was the first female service member to die inthe war on terror.

Flight Navigator: Lance Corporal BryanP. Bertrand, 23, of Coos Bay, Oregon.
Radio Operator: Sergeant JeannetteL. Winters, 25, of Du Page, Illinois.
The Marines are assigned to Marine Aerial RefuelerTransport Squadron 352 (VMGR-352), the "Raiders." Elements of VMGR-352are attached to Combined Task Force 58, in support of Operation EnduringFreedom.
